Business proposal - Our vision

AidImpact was born from the conviction of its founders that the solidarity sector needs dedicated software.
“Most of the tools available on the market are designed by accountants and computer experts. Deployments often remain sterile because the software is not sufficiently adapted or easily handled by users. It was necessary to imagine a software adapted to the environment of the actors of the development.”
Patrice Dufour, co-founder of AidImpact after 25 years at the World Bank
This conviction pushed the AidImpact’s founders to create a company that offers IT solutions adapted to the context of development.
AidImpact Solutions have been deployed in more than 50 countries and are used by thousands of users.
The team

Pierre Girardier is the founder and CEO of AidImpact, the first software solution designed specifically for development and humanitarian actors to manage their projects, funding, and impact.
An engineer by training (SUPAERO), he also holds a Master’s in International Development (La Sorbonne) and an MBA (ESSEC). After several years working at the World Bank and with NGOs, foundations, and public institutions, he became convinced that the sector lacked the digital tools it needed: existing systems were often too complex, too generic, or simply not built for field realities.
In response, he launched AidImpact in 2008 to offer simple, effective, and adaptable technology tailored to real-world needs. His goal: to help organizations focus less on admin, and more on their mission — delivering impact.

Patrice Dufour is the co-founder of AidImpact, with over 35 years of experience in public sector management and private sector development.
He spent 24 years at the World Bank, where he worked on a wide range of development programs across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. After leaving the Bank, he became an independent consultant, advising institutions such as the EU, USAID, UNDP, and AFD on governance, public finance, procurement, and entrepreneurship.
Fabrice holds degrees from Sciences Po and Harvard Business School. Through AidImpact, he aimed to bring better tools and information systems to the sector—making development projects more transparent, efficient, and impact-driven.His vision helped shape the foundations of AidImpact’s mission and methodology.
